Summer Stage (Brown vs. Light vs. Dark)

Saturday was such an amazing day despite one problem that pissed me off a bit. Early saturday morning, I woke up early and headed out to central park to see my baby Mario perform at Summer Stage free. Also there was Tamia, Christte Michele, Salt from Salt n Pepper, and Rick Ross. I had my lil' blanket and my ipod getting all ready and met with a friend from High school and later some more friends and family. We then were finally let in and was by the stage area. We were right in the front, the second row of people. People already knew who I was and saw me as a true fan, as always. Even Egypt from WBLS knew who I was. As she was hosting, I made myself known and we actually had a conversation as she was hosting saying that she was gonna tell Mario to look out for the girl wit the stripe dress and curly weave lmao0o. So, bet, I had a feeling i was in there. Smh, not the case. Mario came out and performed, great as always! He then called for a girl out of the audience. So his body guard comes to the crowd and EVERY ONE in the front crowd points to me and is telling him HER! HER! HER! He looks pass me and pulls some small light skin girl. I wanted to cry! Like seriously? She didn't even look interested. The whole crowd was uPPPseettttt. Like that was f%$^ed up, this girl (me) is a true fan, she singing all the songs. This lady even cursed him out, mind you I didn't know her. They was just like don't worry he picked her cause he liked her, not Mario. Ehh, I was still sad but I kept enjoying the perfect performance by the perfect performer! But yeah, that probably was the only skin complexion prejudice situation that ever affected me. I mean it probably wasnt that seriously but it hurt me. Maybe cause Mario was in the mix and I've been watching Roots series lately lma0o0o.
